What ls EasyExport?
American manufacturers and resellers of firearms, parts, and accessories use EasyExport to sell directly to approved international customers. EasyExport handles all the regulatory compliance so clients can ship safely to international customers. EasyExport also exposes its clients to a growing database of more than 10,000 approved international buyers. With EasyExport, American companies grow international revenues and extend their brands to the rest of the world.
How does EasyExport work?
Manufacturers and resellers who work with EasyExport receive international orders at their e-commerce sites or by email. They enter international orders into EasyExport’s software via an integration with their e-commerce site or manually. EasyExport’s software instantly clears orders that can be shipped without an export license or import permit. A hold is put on orders requiring additional paperwork, to prevent premature shipment. EasyExport personnel attend to export licenses and import permits. When they are in place, the hold is removed and the seller ships.
EasyExport clients ship small international orders using conventional carriers. Firearms and large orders for parts and accessories are shipped by commercial airfreight using a freight forwarder. EasyExport personnel provide total training, support, and troubleshooting to remove the hassle that can be associated with shipping firearms and related products internationally.
Where can I ship with EasyExport?
The manufacturers and resellers who work with EasyExport ship to 50 countries. The primary markets are Canada, Western Europe, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Brazil.
How much does EasyExport cost?
The best thing about EasyExport is that you only pay when you make an international sale. Our set up process is free and there are no fixed charges after that. When you receive an international order and enter it into our software, you incur a charge based on the size of the order. (If the order is canceled, we reverse the charge.) Each month, you receive an invoice for charges incurred in the previous month.
Charges begin at $15 for orders of $100 or less. The charge for orders between $100 and $200 is $20. The charge for orders between $200 and $1,000 is 10%, and then decreases to 9% for orders up to $2,500. Between $2,500 and $5,000, the charge is 8%, decreasing to 7% for orders between $5,000 and $10,000. The percentage charge continues to decrease in steps for larger orders.
Many EasyExport clients recoup all or a portion of our charge from their international customers through an international handling fee. EasyExport does not charge buyers.
How does shipping work?
Manufacturers and resellers who work with EasyExport ship by themselves. With EasyExport’s support, there’s no need for our clients to use third parties to ship. By shipping themselves they get goods to international customers faster and less expensively.
Whether sellers ship a few parts by a conventional carrier or pallets of firearms through a freight forwarder, EasyExport staff provides thorough training and continuous support. There is no aspect of international shipping that EasyExport clients need to figure out for themselves.
Is EasyExport safe?
Yes. Your job is to give us accurate information about your products so we can classify them correctly, to follow our instructions, and to ask questions when in doubt. With that foundation, we ensure that the goods you ship are lawfully exported from the United States and legally imported into your customers’ countries. We also vet and approve your international customers. Our service includes interacting with U.S. and foreign regulatory authorities on your behalf should the need arise.
Do International Customers place orders with me or with EasyExport?
International customers place orders with EasyExport clients, not with EasyExport. Customers also pay the client, not EasyExport. EasyExport does not receive orders or payments from customers.
How does EasyExport approve international buyers?
International buyers who want to do business with EasyExport clients create free accounts with EasyExport online. We screen each buyer and verify addresses as part of our vetting process. Business buyers also provide applicable licenses and permits and provide additional information. EasyExport personnel communicate with buyers to resolve questions before activating their accounts. After approval, buyers are rescreened daily.
More than 10,000 international buyers, including 400 dealers, gunsmiths, and other businesses, have created EasyExport accounts.
What is your onboarding process?
We have a kickoff meeting as soon as possible after a new client signs up. At the kickoff meeting, we walk you through a checklist of tasks to be completed before going live. After you complete the tasks – usually 1 to 3 weeks – we have a one hour training session, and you’re good to go. There is an additional training session when you’re ready to ship your first international order.
Will EasyExport bring me business?
When you go live with EasyExport, you will be exposed to more than 10,000 approved buyers around the world, including over 400 dealers and other businesses. They will find you and your products using the SHOP button on our website and with a merchant directory and other features in their EasyExport accounts. For example, we make it easy for dealers and other businesses to reach out to you with a convenient tool for creating relationships with EasyExport sellers.
I have never shipped to international customers? Is that a problem?
Most EasyExport clients have never shipped to international customers before working with us. It’s not a problem if you’re new.
